Job Description

Overview

The procurement specialist manages supply of Rain Bird products from Rain Bird International Distribution Centers in US, Mexico and also products from the local suppliers in Europe. She/He collaborates with various teams (Customer Service US & Europe, Sales Forecasting, Warehousing, Forwarding Agent, Finance). This position is based at Rain Bird Europe headquarters in Aix en Provence (France).

Responsibilities

  • Achieve best-in-class operational excellence (95% On-Time-Delivery to external customers / No excess and obsolete inventory).
  • Analyze replenishment product needs (MRP) monthly.
  • Fill in the monthly Demand Planning file for Rain Bird International.
  • Send purchase orders to suppliers (internal and external).
  • Ensure follow-up of products in air or sea transit (Import Planning).
  • Coordinate the customs clearance with our forwarding agent.
  • Reconcile receipts made by the warehouse (3-PL) and manage all discrepancies with the US customer service.
  • Reconcile invoices received via EDI.
  • Communicate risks of stockouts and replenishment dates to the European customer service.
  • Monitor performance indicators (Inbound Costs, Suppliers On-Time Delivery, Time between Order and Shipment) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure legal declarations at the European level (WEEE, packaging, Consumer products)
  • Create new SKUs in our ERP system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or Engineer
  • 2-3 years work experience in supply planning, ideally within an international company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to achieve results on your own and through others.
  • Excellent proficiency in IT tools, particularly MS Office (Excel, Access, etc.).
  • Very good interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
