Procurement Specialist/Sr. Procurement Specialist

Requirements & Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers for cross-departmental and cross-entities project/operation-related communication in administrative and processing areas.
• Contract/PO entering/quality checks requiring budgeting and project experience.
• Invoice/payment approval support for invoice verification/correction, payment authorization, milestone compliance and budget matching, etc., to expedite problem-solving process.
• Join internal weekly/monthly project meetings with BU departments to gain an understanding of project/contract status.
• Spot check for project milestone verification to ensure procurement compliance; provide ERP problem-solving for BU departments.
• Monthly project status collection and review to support financial book closing.
• Support contract-based budget control and forecast for variance alert and analysis.
• Any support needs for BU, Operations, and Finances departments.
• Hands-on vendor communication for vendor setup, payment/invoice-related issue resolution, milestone verification for audit and procurement internal control purposes.
• Some hands-on support for company ERP/document system.
• Hands-on administrative support as needed.
• Office management duties to support daily business operations.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, an advance degree (MBA, MS, MA) is a plus.
• At least three (3) years of related experience required.
• Procurement and/or compliance management experience in the life sciences industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to think analytically.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and written SOPs with minimal supervision.
• Precise verbal and written communication skills.
• Responsibilities may require a work schedule that may include working outside of “normal” work hours, in order to meet business/lab demands.
• International travel may be required on occasion.
• Bilingual (Chinese/English) is a plus.
