Procurement & Subcontracts Controls Analyst

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are looking to welcome a Procurement & Subcontracts Controls Analyst to our Project Controls team. The analyst will provide oversight to project activities and is responsible for achieving safe, cost effective, timely and contractually compliant project results. The role will also require effective communication to Project and Executive Management for timely decision making and incorporation of stake holder input.

This position will report to the Manager, Procurement & Subcontracts Execution and will be based in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities may include:

• Lead a Safe work culture
• Provide analysis for the Procurement & Subcontracts scopes of work
• Oversight and administration of project budgets, VoWD, commitments, forecasts and actuals
• Support effective change management and trend development, validation, analysis and execution
• Oversee effective project reporting, monitoring and evaluation including regular project progress and performance reporting
• Provide analysis to project teams by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives
• Report on project status, performance, constraints and issues to Senior and Executive Management
• Engage with project management in order to drive project success
• Build good working relationships with key stakeholders
• Support the mitigation of project challenges through creative and innovative problem solving
• Understand industry standards
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or commensurate work experience in a construction role
• 8 or more years of experience in construction of industrial facilities (preferably power generation and LNG plants)
• Experience with the Procurement and Subcontracting process through formation, expediting and delivery on a large capital project.
• Experience working on client side as representation in the field
• Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work within a team with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
