The Role

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Producer, Experiential Marketing & Events (salaried, full time, regular) is a dynamic professional who will be responsible for managing experiential and event experiences. Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Own the planning and execution of assigned projects, events and experiences including planning, developing decks and creative briefs, managing creative development and delivery, tracking, reporting, & analysis.
  • Partner with internal teams and agencies as needed to produce marketing materials and advertising creative, including marketing plans and presentations, trailers and video assets, digital and social ads, content marketing pieces, event materials, print ads and sponsor deliverables.
  • Manage project communications and status, call scheduling between all departments, which could include but not limited to: Marketing, Production, Product & Tech, Editorial, Sales, Ad Ops, Finance, Legal, PR, Social Media, etc.
  • Communicate directly with individual team members to reiterate the scheduled deliverables, record progress of the project, to address obstacles as they arise, and maximize communication.
  • Provides monthly budget and forecasting overview by working closely with the core team members.
  • Assist the team with venue and vendor related communications.
  • Manage production, logistics, and execute aligning against contracts.
  • Oversee project timelines to ensure Leadership actively makes timely decisions.
  • Support the Vice President, Experiential Marketing, and Events with various tasks and administrative support.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will not include supervising one or more employees where applicable.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, or Communications preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in experiential marketing, with passion for live events and event production.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing for digital products and services preferred, ideally for an automotive and/or
  • entertainment brand.
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Process oriented and must possess a general understanding of project management & event methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and continuously drive improvement.
    • Strong organizational, and time management skills.
    • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple layers of management, keeping stakeholders well-informed on a regular cadence.
    • Excellent verbal and written skills.
    • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
    • Proactive and takes initiative to resolve issues and communicates progress.
    • Must be able to excel and work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.
  • The ability to travel at on-site events and projects multiple times annually.

Equipment/Software Used:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point, etc.)
  • Slack, Smart Sheet, Adobe and Asana

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.


In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in California. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of MotorTrend's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, MotorTrend provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
