Producer/Editor

The Producer/Editor (full-time, salaried) will report into the Supervising Producer and support the marketing creative video team.  Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develop initial creative concepts and coordinate creative tasks between copywriting, edit, motion graphics and finishing in coordination with the Supervising Producer.
• Write scripts for assigned video projects or collaborate with in-house copywriter
• Edit all elements for assigned projects according to approved timelines. Work with Supervising Producer and Creative Director on review and approvals. 
• Develop and create footage requests in coordination with Post Production Supervisor
• Complete all finishing tasks if assigned or facilitate the hand-off of all creative materials to the finishing departments in a timely manner
• Develop and manage timelines for all assets assigned by project
• Update all asana boards and create production documentation on a project to project basis.
• Provide daily updates on project status and ensure all materials are delivered for review in a timely fashion.
• Attend all team meetings

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position will not include supervising one or more employees where applicable.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years working in entertainment marketing post production, or similar experience at a production company or marketing agency.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in creative copywriting
• Able to work autonomously on projects and is comfortable working in a hybrid work model.
• Expert communicator and motivated collaborator, able to handle multiple projects and communicate effectively with multiple clients
• Comfortable with working across multiple US domestic timezones

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.

Equipment/Software Used:

• Expert in adobe premiere or AVID editing software
• Must be able to use Adobe After Effects to version out graphics
• Must be able to work in Microsoft office suite
• Must be able to use slack
• Must be able to work in project management software, specifically asana
• Ability to use Da Vinci Resolve is a plus

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in California. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of MotorTrend's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
