Job Description
About Us:
YipitData is the leading market research and analytics firm for the disruptive economy and recently raised up to $475M from The Carlyle Group at a valuation over $1B.
We analyze billions of alternative data points every day to provide accurate, detailed insights on ridesharing, e-commerce marketplaces, payments and more. Our on-demand insights team uses proprietary technology to identify, license, clean and analyze the data many of the world’s largest investment funds and corporations depend on.
For three years and counting, we have been recognized as one of Inc’s Best Workplaces. We are a fast-growing technology company backed by The Carlyle Group and Norwest Venture Partners. Our offices are located in NYC, Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, Seattle, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Singapore. We cultivate a people-centric culture focused on mastery, ownership, and transparency.
About the Role:
YipitData’s product portfolio is underpinned by a growing set of exciting data partnerships. Each new data partnership enables new products to be developed and unlocks new opportunities for growth.Â
Our Channel Partnerships team’s mission is to identify partners in sectors that YipitData does not wish to focus on directly, and empower those partners with datasets that will enhance their product’s and solutions for their end clients. These relationships are highly strategic, not transactional, and require substantial judgment and a deep understanding of YipitData’s solution set in order to identify and close opportunities.Â
This role is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with 2-3 of experience as you will help scale our Channel Partnerships business and build the core skills required to succeed at the intersection of tech, data, and client-facing work.Â
This is a remote-friendly opportunity that can sit in NYC (where our headquarter is located), one of our office hubs (Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, or Seattle), or anywhere else in the US. However, depending upon where the remote work is performed, income could be subject to New York State tax withholding. Please note that we pay NYC-based salaries for US roles regardless of where employees choose to work.Â
In This Role, You’ll Gain Experience In:
- Improving our products by identifying and empathizing with customer pain points to develop entirely new methodologies and features. We value self-improvement and experimentation and expect you to enhance the products that you own to create value for our clients.
- Being the primary owner of high-impact work: build and deliver clean granular data feeds that help clients derive value from our e-receipt data.
- Programming and data: sharpen big data analysis skills, develop compelling data-driven analyses, and present to clients and prospects
- Master Python, SQL, Pyspark, Databricks, and other leading big data analysis tools
- Sales and client strategy: on a given day, you might help to develop a sales pitch, brainstorm product positioning, or guide contract negotiations, all while ensuring an amazing experience in supporting our existing clients
- Becoming a trusted and reliable resource for our internal stakeholders or clients and work with them to identify and answer their key questions. You'll gain insight into how our clients use our data and you will be responsible for enhancing our products to provide more value to our clients.
As Our Product Analyst, You Will:
- Own, manage and organize all partnership delivery pipelines
- Set up new deliveries and trials for new clients
- Create new processes to enhance the QA of data for key merchants
- Identify problems with key merchant trend data and work with the engineering team to ensure accurate data is being extracted
- Attend client meetings to understand how clients are using our products and answer technical questions
- Enhance clients’ pipelines to extract more value from our data
- Analyze s3 buckets to see what is being delivered to clients
You Are Likely To Succeed If:
- You have 2-3 years of experience using SQL and Pyspark
- You can clearly communicate complex concepts, both orally and written
- You are experimental and curious - you aren’t afraid of changing the status quo
- You are empathetic and have strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
- You enjoy working with clients and understanding & addressing their pain points
- You are a methodical problem solver
- You want to enhance your existing coding skills
- You have the ability to manage many different priorities
What We Offer:
Our compensation package includes comprehensive benefits, perks, equity and a competitive salary:Â
- We care about your personal life and we mean it. We offer flexible work hours, flexible vacation, a generous 401K match, parental leave, team events, wellness budget, learning reimbursement, and more!
- Your growth at YipitData is determined by the impact that you are making, not by tenure, unnecessary facetime, or office politics. Everyone at YipitData is empowered to learn, self-improve, and master their skills in an environment focused on ownership, respect, and trust.
- The annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $150K ~ $170K. The final offer may be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal team benchmarks.
- The compensation package also includes equity.
This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States. Please note that our US headquarters are located in NYC. We also have office hubs in Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, and Seattle. If the remote work is performed outside of these offices, income may be subject to New York State tax withholding. Â
We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
