Product Analyst, Fraud

About the Role:

The Fraud team is accountable to manage fraud losses for the business while also maintaining a great customer experience. In this role, you will optimize the performance of our fraud rules, reduce complexity and improve interpretability of our rulesets. You will work closely with other product analysts, data scientists, MLEs & SDEs, along with fraud program & product managers.

You Will:

• Build metrics and improve observability into the performance of individual rules & rulesets
• Drive analyses and recommendations to optimize ruleset
• Stay up to date with latest fraud trends and challenges
• Design, implement and analyze experiments
• Iterate on frameworks & approaches to balance fraud losses with customer friction
• Work with product teams to design & prioritize tooling to better support ruleset management

You Have:

• 3+ years experience in analytics, data science or consulting role
• 3+ years experience using SQL and Python for analysis
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, business, economics, or other quantitative fields. Master's degree in a similar field is strongly preferred.
• You can start from a white space problem, develop hypotheses, build analytical frameworks, write effectively to drive decisions
• You communicate decisions across both individual contributors and leadership.
• You can state and defend your decision making process
• You are scrappy, creative, and think of creative solutions in a constrained environment.
• You possess and display a high degree of ownership.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $94,400-$118,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
