Your Team

Few people think about all the nuances and layers of detail that go into making an app, but that’s exactly what Product Analyst do. The Product Analyst role at WillowTree is a client-facing position focused on understanding our partner’s unique business needs and vision. They collaborate closely with WillowTree’s design and engineering teams to execute and bring that vision to life by translating business requirements into technical requirements.

*This is a hybrid position.This role is open in three locations: Columbus, OH, and Durham, NC.

Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to understand business needs and objectives
  • Collaborate with project team members to break down abstract client needs into precise product requirements
  • Help keep projects running smoothly by managing requirement backlogs
  • Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical tickets for the engineering team
  • Build a shared understanding of product requirements among the internal team
  • Work closely with product designers to build experiences that align with business goals and support the end-users’ needs
  • Participate in conversations around scope management and feature prioritization
Qualifications
  • You plan to graduate in Fall/Winter 2022 or Spring 2023
  • An understanding of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) and experience working on software development projects
  • Demonstrated ability to champion projects from beginning through implementation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and rally teams and individuals around a vision
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of team members and stakeholders from different backgrounds
  • Self-starter who takes initiative in solving problems and can self-manage commitments and deadlines
  • Ability to approach complex problems with a critical thinking and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Interest and willingness to pick up new technical concepts and practices
  • Passion for web and mobile technology
