Job Description

Join the New Braunfels, TX team for the exciting journey of a new facility start-up (Greenfield). The $110 million facility will manufacture Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for automated and assisted driving. Join the Continental team that manufactures products that save lives everyday!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provide quality engineering support services including data analysis, tracking of nonconforming material, and interfacing with production support teams.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs analysis on product which has failed production testing or is returned by the customer
2. Identifies and documents cause of failures through technical analysis
3. Support on MES traceability for products, subassemblies, and components
4. Expert knowledge of MES routing to include adding and removing routing for new products
5. Investigate production quality problems and their cause
6. Provide technical assistance to QC Inspectors
7. Analyze and determine the cause of outgoing Q.C. defects
8. Perform special product failure investigation (customer returns, etc.)
9. Assist Q.C. Engineering in trouble-shooting design and process related problems
10. Assist in the analysis of product validation (PV) and pilot production run failures
11. Work with Quality Assurance to resolve supplier test correlation issues
12. Maintain and issue work instructions, PCA's and quality alerts
13. Perform/report on the results of production process audits
14. Interface with customer representatives
15. Specify appropriate repairs and/or production process solutions
16. Identifies root cause and recommends/implements correction actions
17. Provide feedback to production and/or engineering regarding the nature and cause of failures
18. Participate in continuous improvement activities and maintain good housekeeping practices

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:• High School Diploma or GED• 2 years of relevant experience• Strong understanding of electronics • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of formal education, training, and experience• Highly motivated individual capable of working with limited supervision• Be proactive and promote teamwork between the technicians and production operators• Participate in team problem solving and/or method improvement activities• Have constant respect for others. Have strong, clear, written, and verbal communication skill

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted. Must be able to stand for periods up to 10+ hours. Must be able to Push, Pull Reach, Twist, Turn, Stoop, Walk, Stand for 10+ hours.
