Product and Marketing Manager
Job Description
This position is responsible for the management and execution of our company's product and marketing efforts. The Product and Marketing Manager is responsible for both Upstream and Downstream Marketing activities. The candidate will lead the planning and execution of Downstream activities; as well as establish a vision and put in place a plan to execute on our Upstream roadmap. This role is a key cross-functional position between customers, field teams, Engineering, and the broader organization.
This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work from our Minnetonka, MN, office 2-3 days per week.
Position Responsibilities:
- Planning and execution of downstream marketing tactics and activities.
- Product development initiatives for current portfolio improvement and future portfolio expansions.
- Cross-functional leadership on the development/execution of action plans and new product launches including forecasting and financial planning/business case development.
- Market research initiatives to understand trends, behaviors, and influence future portfolio decisions.
- Competitive monitoring and market intelligence.
- Define and implement upstream processes for current and future product and portfolio development initiatives.
- Lead all customer engagement activities such as user labs, focus groups, voice of customer.
- Cross-functional leadership to ensure seamless collaboration between key functions in the organization.
- May include training other team members and consulting with our commercial team on specific patient issues or questions.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
- 3+ years of experience in a Downstream Marketing role.
- 3+ years of experience in an Upstream Marketing role.
- Demonstrated ability to execute on key tactics to support downstream initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement a product roadmap.
- Strong analytical, organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to listen to patient needs, prioritize needs/requirements, and communicate them to cross-functional teams.
- Detail oriented - ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Ability to self-manage time and activities with an aptitude for change and adaptability.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team-player mindset and willingness to collaborate.
- Proficiency with a variety of software and communication tools.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the cardiovascular and/or sleep space.
- Experience with implantable devices.
- Global Marketing experience is a plus.
- MBA, BA or BS in Marketing.
- Experience providing education to patients/customers/field teams.
