LeafLink is seeking a Product and Solution Marketing Manager to help build the future of B2B cannabis technology. In this role, you’ll own the marketing strategy, storytelling and messaging, and content to support LeafLink’s wholesale cannabis marketplace, as well as our advertising and insights offerings.
This role is a critical component of a large cross-functional stakeholder group: Product, Marketing/PR, Sales, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, and more. You’ll become a fluent expert in the wholesale cannabis industry and market dynamics, and partner across functions to craft go-to-market strategies and messages. You’ll spend time with customers and relevant data to identify the ideal customer journey for your solutions and will advocate for the customer across each step, leading with data and customer insights. You’ll build the strategy and plans for new product launches, implement ongoing messaging improvements, and ensure that our sales teams are enabled to represent LeafLink in customer conversations.
You’ll be a steady and regular partner to our Campaigns team, partnering to ensure the strategy and messaging you’ve developed are taken to market in a thoughtful, measurable way - setting and exceeding targets along the way. You’ll be a shepherd of product adoption and usage, ensuring the right prompts, promotions, and feedback channels are in place to make each of our customers successful.
Through all of this work, you’ll elevate the customer and their successes, showcasing how LeafLink helps cannabis brands and retailers streamline their operations, grow their sales, and delight their customers.
In addition to your sharp marketing capabilities, you’ll bring a set of essential soft skills. You’ll use your ability to execute on the ground, combined with your ability to ‘zoom out’ to understand the macro needs of the industry and business. You’ll manage through ambiguity with a solution-oriented approach, testing and iterating along the way. You’ll see around corners - anticipating challenges, customer needs, or industry trends - and respond to them in time. You’ll contribute to growing a healthy, productive, and supportive team culture.
What You’ll Be DoingCreate and execute GTM plans for 3 key LeafLink products: Marketplace, Advertising, and Insights
- Collaborate with the broader Marketing team (Campaigns, Operations, PR, etc.) to ensure we’re mapping plans into department objectives, and are hitting our department goals effectively
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Leadership to ensure product marketing plans will contribute to the acquisition of company goals
- Develop effective storytelling and messaging that translates the technical capabilities of products into client benefits
- Build and continuously optimize sales enablement kits to arm our GTM teams with presentations, talking points, and collateral
- Translate market feedback internally by monitoring competitive products and shadowing sales calls, and articulating LeafLink’s value in line with these trends
- Develop and own a product marketing reporting package to be shared with company leadership
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6+ years of Product Marketing experience specific to marketplaces and advertising platforms, and/or cannabis
- Proven capability to craft compelling brand, solution, and product narratives
- Familiarity with packaging and pricing strategies
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Technical proficiency and/or general knowledge of martech tools such as JIRA, Asana, AppCues, Pendo, HubSpot, Segment, etc.
- Data fluency, and hands-on knowledge of analytics tools (ex. Salesforce, Tableau)
- Product Marketing Institute (or other similar) certification
- Ability to thrive at the pace of a startup, and create order out of ambiguity
- Solutions-oriented and self-motivated with a high degree of ownership
