Product Architect, Contextual AI

Summary

As a Hardware Product Architect at Meta Reality Labs, you will lead the definition of contextual AI system architecture for Meta AR-glasses product roadmap, and be a part of the team designing, building future consumer AR experiences. We want people who work well in teams, can brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, thrive in ambiguity, are able to map trade spaces and can help set up technology roadmaps that can transition into a high-volume consumer product.You will lead the definition of the product contextual AI architecture across all parts of the system working closely with hardware, software, and experience teams. The role requires expert technical communication with cross-functional teams across research, silicon, sensing, connectivity, software and user experience. This role requires excellent technical understanding of consumer electronics and system architecture.The ideal candidate would blend strong systems skills with a background in designing systems. Previous roles should involve driving architecture convergence on complex consumer electronics products with experience in silicon architecture, edge/cloud compute, HW/SW co-design, performance architecture, and the ability to work collaboratively with experts in different fields to make architectural tradeoffs.

Required Skills

Product Architect, Contextual AI Responsibilities:

• Define the always-on-sensing system architecture for contextual AI use-cases
• Define AI model architecture, partitioning, and continuous learning architecture for personalized AI experiences
• Define product architecture to execute AI models based on user-input, context and user intent
• Work with SW teams to define API's to enable apps to use our contextual AI capabilities
• Analyze and partition contextual AI use-cases to HW / SW components across edge/cloud devices
• Communicate technology and product strategy effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
• Guide management and partner teams on long term technology investments
• Travel up to 15% time domestically and internationally

Minimum Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS in EE/CS or equivalent 7+ years of product experience in system architecture
• Proven experience in HW/SW partitioning and co-design to build consumer products
• Communication experience working with product development engineers, product managers, researchers and other hardware/software cross-functional teams
• Understanding of HW, SW and product development cycles and dependencies

Preferred Qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

• In depth experience with defining complex AI models and silicon architecture
• Track record of technical leadership on large, complex projects
• Shipping experience with consumer electronics
