Product Architect, Contextual AI Human Interface

Summary

As a Hardware Product Architect at Meta Reality Labs, you will lead the definition of contextual AI human interface system architecture for the Meta AR glasses product roadmap, and be a part of the team designing and building future consumer AR experiences. We want people who work well in teams, can brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, thrive in ambiguity, are able to map trade spaces and can help set up technology roadmaps that can transition into a high-volume consumer product.You will lead the definition of the product contextual AI human interface architecture working closely with hardware, software, and experience teams. The role requires expert technical communication with cross-functional teams across research, silicon, sensing, connectivity, software and user experience. This role requires excellent technical understanding of AI system architecture.The ideal candidate would blend strong system skills with a background in designing systems. Previous roles should involve driving architecture convergence on complex consumer electronics products with experience in AI architecture, edge/cloud compute, HW/SW co-design, and the ability to work collaboratively with experts in different fields to make architectural tradeoffs.

Required Skills

Product Architect, Contextual AI Human Interface Responsibilities:

• Define AI model architecture for AR product, define partitioning of AI models across on-device and cloud, and define continuous learning architecture for personalized AI experiences
• Define product architecture to execute AI models based on user-input, context and user intent
• Communicate technology and product strategy effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
• Work with management and partner teams to define long term AI technology investments
• Travel up to 15% time domestically and internationally

Minimum Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS in EE/CS or equivalent
• 10+ years of product experience in system architecture
• In-depth experience with defining product AI system architecture and AI model partitioning
• Proven experience in HW/SW partitioning and co-design to build consumer products
• Communication experience working with product development engineers, product managers, researchers and other HW/SW cross-functional teams
• Understanding of HW, SW and product development cycles and dependencies

Preferred Qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Track record of technical leadership on large, complex projects
• Shipping experience with consumer electronics
• Experience in AR / VR product architecture
