About the Job 

Our US Rates team is looking for a Product Associate to join the liquidity management team.  MarketAxess Rates includes a high frequency trading pool leveraging a Relationship-Based Directed Streaming model.  The Product Associate will be responsible for quantitatively ensuring the efficiency of the pool’s trading relationships, with the goal of maximizing trade volume and improving customer experience. 

What You’ll Do

• Analyze the rates trading pool activity and relationship configuration to establish a baseline of operation
• Gather quantitative analytics around trading behavior from all platform participants
• Analyze, model, and design impactful reporting for customers to influence trading behavior and drive volume on the platform
• Understand the complexities of the directed streaming model and communicate analytics and solutions to Liquidity Providers regarding their pricing activity on the platform.   
• Monitor platform liquidity and ensure the health of each customers orderbook
• Assist in building out a full suite of analytics to be used internally and externally for the Rates Platform
• Work with the product team to develop differentiated products
• Work with the sales team to identify opportunities with existing clients
• Provide reports to support quality of execution and to validate trading relationship proposals
• Other Duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table

• Hold an undergraduate and master’s degree (science, engineering, mathematics, or statistics is preferred).
• Entry level experience as a quant or a data scientist in the financial industry.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Comfortable talking / explaining / proposing opportunities with clients
• Superb interpersonal skills.
• Highly analytical, flexible, and creative problem solver.
• Well-organized, team-oriented, intellectually curious, and proactive.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $100,000 USD to $140,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
