JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Oversees the data analysis, reporting and model validation needs of the Product team. Assists with market research and analysis, leveraging findings and insights to define opportunities for product development and enhancements. Serve as the team’s technical subject matter expert and liaison between Delivery Channels (Digital and In-Branch), Technology and Information Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages data retrieval, compilation and analysis for the team

  • Works with information management teams, application managers, applicable vendors and other business partners in locating, identifying and understanding all relevant data elements and definitions; assists in resolving data gaps as needed to perform duties

  • Develops and maintains dashboards, metrics and reports; executes automated reporting strategies

  • Supports model validation and internal audit requirements of the team

  • Assists with market and industry research to better understand the competitive landscape with assigned product lines and identify product and pricing gaps

  • Supports development of business cases and projects related to product acquisition, development and enhancements

  • Works with team on strategies that balance product profitability with risk and customer experience in accordance with the organizations strategic goals

  • Continuously identify process improvements, efficiency opportunities and product risks/issues.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, finance or quantitative discipline and/or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Advanced understanding of financial reporting, analytics and modeling

  • Experience with data management tools (ex. Power BI, SAS, and SQL)

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • 5+ years of prior analytics, data management, model validation and/or related experience

  • Knowledge in the following areas preferred:  bank operating systems and regulations governing bank products

  • Demonstrated financial management skills with ability to perform analysis that will deliver incremental value through support of product and pricing initiatives

  • Proven collaboration, influencing and consensus building skills that support leading, managing, and working collaboratively with peers and executive management

  • Proficiency using other Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines

  • Ability to operate  related equipment to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.  If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
