Job Description Summary

The Product Champion for the Field and Service is a business-critical leadership role on the X-ray generation Installed Base Engineering team. The role ensures customer and business needs are met for an X-ray generation product family while also acting as the escalation point to ensure business leaders have early warning for emerging issues and opportunities. This role will be responsible for some of the Premium CT Xray Tubes family and will support the launch of new X-ray products or iterations in the respective product families.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the overall strategy for a set of x-ray generation products (Tubes) or sub-products (Inserts) in collaboration with IB engineering and other key stakeholders.
• Support field and customers escalations as the product focal point and identify related actions
• Track and trend field data for all critical parts and communicate it with key stakeholders
• Utilize hardware autopsy and field failure data analysis to identify issues and quality improvement opportunities
• Lead or support projects to improve quality, increase reliability, and reduce cost.
• Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing and engineering teams on projects to improve field quality.
• Collaborate with Service organization to help improve HV component troubleshooting
• Collaborate with Modality Manufacturing organizations to help minimize internal returns
• Ensure data integrity by collaborating with IB engineers and teams supporting the IB digital tools
• Mentor and coach junior engineers

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong project execution and leadership skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills with strong focus on execution
• Strong ability to influence

Desired Characteristics

• CT systems and/or Xray tube design or service experience
• Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving
• Demonstrated understanding/experience with reliability analysis
• Demonstrated experience leading/supporting cross-functional and global teams
• Demonstrated project management, planning, and organizational skills
