RSS Product Champion

We seek a talented and enthusiastic RSS Product Champion to join our team of industry leading experts developing cutting edge rotary steerable drilling systems for Oil and Gas exploration. These systems operate in some of the harshest environments known to man, working tirelessly at the extremes of temperature, pressure, shock and vibration to steer the wellbore to a target many miles below the Earths surface.

The RSS Product Champion is an industry and technology expert who strives for continuous product improvement and to deliver an exceptional user experience to our customers. They are equally comfortable in an office environment defining product requirement specifications, reviewing test data or presenting success stories at international conferences as they are donning coveralls and getting hands-on with the technology in the field.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Define product requirements and evaluate technology readiness level to ensure the product meets the needs of the industry.
• Define and track key performance metrics and facilitate improvement initiatives as necessary
• Coordinate product launch and commercialization activities and provide remote and/or onsite support as required to ensure success.
• Define, establish, and maintain operations (field) support systems and processes to ensure quality and accessible product support to our end users
• Analyze and evaluate complex datasets, compile concise and actionable reports and present findings to peers, management, and customers alike
• Conceive, coordinate, and perform laboratory and field testing of RSS tools to ensure fitness for purpose
• Develop content and deliver operations training to ensure competency of the end user.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Science, Technology or Engineering related field
• 8+ years of experience in product management and Oil & Gas drilling operations
• Must have direct experience of directional drilling and drilling rig operations
• Prior experience with ERP systems is a plus
• Must take a hands-on approach with a 'can-do' attitude and equally at home both in the office or in the field
• Solid reasoning and problem-solving skills required
