What We Need:

Brady is seeking a Product Configuration Specialist who will perform configuration management activities to support internal and external customers. This position will be the lead technical expert within the team responsible for understanding our vast product offering to provide highly customized products. Responsibilities are specialized within the Customer Support Operations Function.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Analyzes incoming complex customer requests to produce a finished quote of customized solutions that meet customer service levels and accuracy
  • Performs a detailed review of customer drawings and specifications
  • Cross-references with published technical data sheets and manufacturing capability to determine compliance to requested specifications
  • Ensures Brady quotations are fully compliant relevant to SOX, ISO, AS9100, and regulations including ITAR (Internal Traffic Arms Regulations)
  • Responsible for understanding cost, discount, and profit calculation as well as unit of measure conversion
  • Responsible for identification of revision level changes for custom parts and initiation of part creation and engineering changes
  • Ensures Brady master data is consistent with customer requirements
  • Contributes to process improvements and initiatives to help drive a best-in-class customer experience and to deliver cost savings and process optimization
  • Performs core job responsibilities with limited supervision and in accordance with standard operating processes and procedures
  • Understands the need for escalation to leadership relative to barriers that impede quotation turnaround time
  • Accountable to hit individual metrics and team metrics
  • Focused around quantity of quotations provided, quality of quotation content, and quick delivery of quotations to the customer
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, R D, Quality, Marketing, and Master Data

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years within a professional work environment or equivalent job-related experience
  • Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
