Product Cybersecurity Analyst

We are strengthening our Product Cybersecurity Incident Response Team in ZF's Product Cybersecurity Analysis & Research (DIQS3) area at our location in Farmington Hills, MI.

You will work in a corporate team and analyze weak points in products from ZF's entire product portfolio. The activity requires close cooperation with internal, product-responsible departments and central, quality representatives as well as with external sources for vulnerability information and with customers at international locations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform independent analysis, categorization, and verification of potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities in embedded systems.
• Coordinate and participate in the handling of product cybersecurity incidents.
• Document the general threat landscape and specific actors regarding ZF products.
• Responsible for the evaluation and maintenance of tools to assist in the detection of cybersecurity issues.
• Support updates to processes, specifications, and standards to support continuous vulnerability analysis.
• Support the collection of technical solutions for identified weaknesses.
• Represent ZF in cybersecurity committees and associations.

Qualifications:

• Completed Bachelor's Degree in areas like Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science
• At least 8 years of professional experience in software development, systems engineering or automotive product/IT cybersecurity
• Confident in vulnerability and exploitability evaluations (e.g., through TARAs within the automotive industry)
• Experience with problem solving as well as incident and risk management is strongly preferred
• Knowledge and experience in the application of the ISO/SAE 21434:2021 (Chapter 8)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a global team
• Strong knowledge of spoken and written English; German Language skills are a plus
• Willingness to work with suppliers to manage incidents
• Willingness to travel domestically / internationally
