We are looking for a talented Product Design Engineer to join our Systems Product Specialist Team for our Electronics and Fuel SystemsBusiness Unit in Fridley, MN / Hybrid home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Lead and support electrical subsystems and architecture for diesel and/or natural gas powered genset programs (VPI-I, VPI-II and VPC)
• Interpret customer needs (internal and external depending upon work area) to identify the relevant modifications and enhancements required to the product(s)
• Collaborating with other functions (such as Operations, Manufacturing, Service, Marketing etc) to determine possible solutions to particular problems and issues
• Progress the proposed modifications to resolve issues through the required approval routing process
• Identify suitable new products and components that can be used for modifications and enhancements to current products.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 2 years minimum experience is required.
• Lead design, safety, technical reviews on VPC/VPI projects or as delegated by the Engineering Department Leader
• Individual will be required to lead electrical aspect of the genset during different stages of product development
• Communicate and liaise effectively with key suppliers and customers, visiting customer sites when necessary

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
