Product Design Intern

SpotHero is seeking a Product Design Intern to make impactful contributions to our Product Team. Our team solves challenging problems every day to create a seamless parking experience for our customers. This intern will sharpen both their research and UX/UI skills. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to and learn from one of Chicago's fastest-growing tech startups! Our Summer 2022 Internship Program dates are June 6th-August 12th.

What will you do?

• Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and specifics of the user-centered design process.
• Glean insights from qualitative and quantitative research.
• Design user research and usability studies, collect and react to user feedback.
• Formulate and test hypotheses based on user research and behavioral analytics.
• Work directly with a product manager, engineering team, and product designer to define UX and UI requirements.
• Create user flows, design documentation, prototypes, high-fidelity mocks, and other UX deliverables.

 You are:

• A top-notch communicator.  You have outstanding communication skills – both verbal and written – that enable you to speak with anyone and everyone who crosses your path.
• Inquisitive.  Innovative and resourceful, you are constantly looking for ways to improve upon things.

• Positive.  You possess a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn from and contribute to a team.
• Creative.  You aren’t afraid to take risks and are proud of the work you produce.
• Organized.  You have great follow-through on tasks and superior organizational skills.

What you bring: 

• Enrolled in or recent grad from an undergrad program or bootcamp.
• Design process experience.
• Experience with Figma or Sketch  strongly preferred.
