Product Design Lead - Construction Software

What are you going to do?

Our client is building the software that builds the world. They provide cloud-based construction management software that helps clients more efficiently build skyscrapers hospitals retail centers airports housing complexes and more. They have worked hard to create and maintain a culture where you can own your work and are encouraged and given resources to try new ideas.

Our client is looking for a Product Design Lead. This is a unique and highly analytical and creative role requiring strong UX design experience in leading and delivering all design aspects of a usable software product including field experiences where users work from mobile devices and apps. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation enthusiasm and determination.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering Leads to work on the early concept and vision of software products.

• Design and validate new experiences via mockups wireframes flow diagrams sketches and other UX artifacts for our cloud-based applications

• Develops high-level detailed storyboards sitemaps mock-ups user maps and prototypes to effectively communicate and articulate complex ideas and reach a shared understanding

• Leverage the patterns content and solutions created by our Design System Content Strategy UX Research and DesignOps teams

• Work as an embedded member of a cross-functional agile product development team collaborating with Product Managers Engineers and other Product Designers and create solutions based on research

• Articulate design decisions to a variety of audiences including tech leads clients and project owners

• Collaborate with the Product Owner or stakeholders to create high-level and detailed design requirements and make sure the implementation aligns with the vision.

• Distribute the tasks and responsibilities to a small team of Product Designers. This role will be the point of contact with the product team and will pass-on the requirements to the team managing tasks and ensuring high quality delivery.

What will help you succeed

• 6+ years of experience designing world-class apps with a strong portfolio of design work

• Strong proficiency with leading design tools - Specifically Figma

• Strong client-facing communication skills having the ability to articulate design decisions to a variety of audiences including tech leads company leaders project owners.

• Experience with leading discovery validation and user testing through varying methodologies in order to help teams make the right product and design decisions.
