Product Designer

As an early member of our growing design team, you will help us explore, evaluate, and shape the core product through user research, concept development, rapid prototyping and final visual design. You will partner closely with our small team of experts on the investment, product, and engineering teams to help bring the first version of our platform to life.

As a Product Designer, you would be working closely with founders, designers, and engineers to design, prototype, test, and iterate on solutions that help advisors learn about the private investment opportunities, and how to manage them. We’re looking for a seasoned designer who thrives in ambiguity, deeply understands and can champion our users, and design solutions that are equally thoughtful, elegant, and delightful.  

Your Day-to-Day will include:

• Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to plan, prototype, test, and rapidly launch concepts and early versions to ensure we are building a great product.
• Leading cross-functional teams through product design processes.
• Quickly iterating on concepts and design details as new feedback and insights surface.
• Crafting clean, elegant designs that seamlessly connect user needs to business goals. 
• Being part of a fun, friendly design team that helps grow and mentor each other.
   

You love helping product teams make great products, going from idea through to beautiful, production-ready design, and ongoing refinements. In addition to your design chops, you have strong communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and a particular love of user research and turning opportunities into clearly defined solutions.

Required Skills

• At least 4 years of experience turning user insights into engaging, empowering product experiences.
• Experience across the design process from concept development to launch, with particular comfort and expertise in the early part of the process (problem definition, user research, concept development).
• A strong visual aesthetic, experience creating visual systems, and delivering beautiful, high fidelity, production-ready designs.
• Practical problem solving that balances stakeholder input, user experiences, available resources, and business goals.

Bonus Skills

• Laser-focus on aesthetic details, with a love and talent for illustration and/or CSS animation.
• A passion for strategizing, organizing, and conducting User Research sessions.
• Experience with financial and/or data-intensive applications as a plus (charting, tables, large datasets, etc).
