Product Development Assistant

About the Role 

Ring Concierge is a rapidly growing, female-founded fine jewelry company, specializing in custom engagement rings and fine jewelry.  We are seeking a Product Development Assistant to join our team!  The ideal candidate should have a passion for product, along with exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.  These qualities are essential for this role.  

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain all development and TOP samples. 
• Own sample intake and shipping samples/reference products out to vendors.
• Submit and keep accurate records of sample invoices, working closely with the AP team.  
• Own updating the PD Masterfile & Product Details Decks with product specifications, costing, & sample delivery dates. 
• Collaborate with cross functional teams inclusive of Operations, Merch, Marketing, and Creative to complete tasks such as sample status updates and sharing packaging callouts as it relates to new product launches.  
• Ensure internal systems are always accurate & up to date with product information.
• Update the product standards manual regularly.
• Assist in processing engravable product orders. 
• Compile library of materials for design reference and future product development, alongside update product knowledge file.
• Help assist with QC of products as needed.  
• Help support on competitive & trend analysis as needed.

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Must be proficient with Mac computers, and Google Suite
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in jewelry product development/production.
• E-commerce background is an asset.
• Experience and understanding of manufacturing, supply chain operations, and distribution is an asset.
• Energy, confidence, self-motivation.
• Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting under tight deadlines with strong project and time management skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of Ring Concierge’s product and brand. 
• Must be able to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be a self-starter

• Full-time role located in midtown NYC
• Hybrid work model - 4 days in-office and 1 day remote 
• Office Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the knowledge that we have a startup culture and your day may extend past listed office hours.

• The salary range  for this position is $55,000-60,000, commensurate with experience
