JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Netcom Applications Engineer, Engineer would have responsibilities relating to delivery of Diagnostics and/or Multiplex deliverables to ensure that ECUs meet Netcom Requirements. This includes interfacing with many cross functional teams from ECUs, Systems, Software Release, Manufacturing, and others to ensure completion of deliverables. As such, dynamic interpersonal skills will be utilized to both problem solve and triage with diverse groups of engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing/maintaining Program CAN message list
  • Ensuring MUX DV testing is completed at ECU and Vehicle level
  • Review ECU/Module diagnostic part 2 specifications to ensure compliance to core requirements
  • Ensure Diagnostic DV testing is completed at ECU level.
  • Facilitate Vehicle Specific Configuration Spec (VSCS) for manufacturing plant end of line (EOL) testing and service tools.
  • Implement EOL requirements for plant testing for EESE modules.
  • Provide launch support for MUX/Diagnostic issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualification

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience working with CAN protocol and or experience diagnosing automotive systems/subsystems.

Preferred experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Functional knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with CAN Protocol and/or experience developing/validating diagnostics for ECUs.
