Product Development Engineer III

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Plan and coordinate large projects by leading cross-functional project teams in the development and implementation of IDT manufacturing systems and equipment. 
• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical / electrical systems for IDT manufacturing systems / equipment while collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables. 
• Drive innovation by leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced mechanical systems for complex projects while driving advancements and contributing to the development of new products and technologies.
• Lead Machine building and testing by overseeing the entire assembly process, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards, leading complex troubleshooting efforts, involving root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. 
• Provide product support by overseeing the troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing manufacturing equipment and systems as well as develop comprehensive documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards. 

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, (or a related field)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software such as Solid Edge, Solid Works, PTC Creo, etc. with strong knowledge of engineering principles and design methodologies
• Proficient knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards (GD&T)
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards - UL, OSHA, NFPA, etc.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Analysis or simulation tools. CFD, FEA, etc.
• Statistical analysis and data analysis tools. 
• AGILE SCRUM project management methodology.
