About the Job - Product Development Intern
Dawn's Inspire Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of the Global Bakery Industry. Dawn Inspire Internship Program interns will benefit from:

This is a full-time position, working on-site out of our Jackson, Michigan Manufacturing Plant, and/or Jackson Innovation Studio.
What Does It Take to be an Intern at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications for the Dawn Inspire Internship Program.
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher, with an interest in working in the Baking or Food industry. Current academic status must reflect good performance in relation to institutional academic standards.
- Must at least complete sophomore term or equivalent in credit hours prior to internship.
- Strong interest in the industry or field related to the internship.
- Basic knowledge of relevant concepts, principles, and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace feedback and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
What Will Set You Apart?
- Being intellectually curious and able to deal with ambiguity.
- Ability to apply understanding of sciences (biology, chemistry, food technology, engineering (and mathematics to provide technical support to the business).
- A desire to work hands-on in a laboratory or manufacturing environment with equipment & products.
What You'll Do as an Intern
- Conduct research on assigned topics and present findings to the team.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
- Shadow and learn from experienced professionals in your field of interest.
- Actively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills relevant to your career goals.
- Take initiative to suggest process improvements and contribute innovative ideas.
- Demonstrate the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and support our culture throughout the duration of the Internship Program.
- Identified projects that you will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and multigenerational team members to ensure the most suitable design/approach/methodology is applied to meet the project objectives.
- The intern will support the research and development team in optimization of existing products, creation of new products for customers or internally driven innovations with an overarching goal to drive sales and volume growth for Dawn.
- Develop a testing protocol for evaluating unique functional raw materials in baked good.
- Perform additional assigned duties as required.

- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: Wheat/Gluten, Soy, Egg, Milk, Peanut, Treenut, and Sesame Seeds
Compensation:
Undergraduate - $25/hr
Graduate - $27/hr
