Job Summary:

The purpose of this role is to actively manage an existing portfolio of products and develop new products and services that our customer base needs and wants to provide them peace of mind. This role will leverage Scrum Agile methodologies and will be accountable for all product management, revision, and creative activities for the Home Protection business (AWHR, DEPP, NRG, Allied, etc.) across multiple channels - 3rd Party Partnerships, Digital/Online and Call Center.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

As a Product Manager, you will guide the Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams that are responsible for the Home Protection product lineto define and refine the product construct, ensuring high relevance, key differentiation, and business priorities are addressed. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with internal and external customers, as well as third-party business partners. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand opportunities and find innovative solutions for the broader market. The product manager's key role is strategic but also has multiple tactical responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing interaction with customers and non-customers.
  • Drive solutions across functional teams (Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Operations) through market requirements, product construct & contract, and brand positioning.
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for product offers.
  • Analyze and manage product portfolio profitability and P&L impact based on gross margin, cost of acquisition, cost to service, and cost to retain, along with other key performance indicators.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with the Sales, Business, IT, Marketing, and Call Center teams.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders and actively support the product go-to-market process, plan timelines, launch scenarios, and post-implementation verifications.
  • Partner with marketing and sales enablement to create sales collateral and training, ensuring enablement for sales, presales, partners, and services organizations in support of new offering launches.
  • Proactively identify and anticipate roadblocks of technical, business, political, or organizational nature and actively seek resolution with leadership and peers.
  • Provide inputs to the identification and development of capabilities needed across the company to support the specific transformation effort.
  • Build an environment of trust, that encourages people to innovate and lead through complexities.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership, product owners, and other internal stakeholders to review product offer metrics to measure progress against goals.

Working Conditions:
  • Hybrid Office/Work at the home office environment
  • Travel (based on environmental factors and generally quarterly)

Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years in product management, product marketing, go-to-market, or strategic operations or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience with increased responsibility in the Home Services industry.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products.
  • Creative problem-solver with exceptional analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Adept at quickly understanding new technologies and identifying business value.
  • Process orientated with proven ability to communicate to senior-level audiences
  • Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, technology, business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in product management in the Home Services industry
  • 5+ years leading geographically distributed teams within a matrix organization
  • Experience building and implementing customer-facing products and digital assets for both Business to Business and Direct to Consumer
  • Expertise in product implementation management
  • Lean Six Sigma

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Expertise in presenting and facilitating discussions at all levels of the organization with intentional outcomes
  • Ability to effectively manage large teams of people working virtually in both direct and matrixed organizations
  • Ability to influence with compassion, knowledge, passion, and value-orientation

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting for online video calls for long durations
  • Travel and associated sitting and lifting
