Job Summary: 

The primary role of the Product Development Planning & Operations Manager of our private label brand components is to accurately forecast and efficiently manage the purchasing, procurement, and inventory control of all components to ensure finished goods deliver “just in time”.  This role will partner with Product Development,  Supply & Demand Planning, Purchasing, Suppliers & Operations. To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly analytical, organized and possess excellent communication and proven leadership skills.  This role requires both a mathematical mindset with an intuitive understanding of the supply chain, business and forecasting and will support current and new products.

Job Expectations:

  • Monitor the Material Resource Planning (MRP)release purchase orders (PO) and follow up closely with manager to achieve sales demand and fulfillment
  • Manage PO and change order issuance and accuracy
  • Proactively track and ensure alignment between capacity plan priorities and supplier deliveries
  • Drive the supplier schedule to meet the overall schedule requirements and priorities
  • Review and monitor inventory levels against sales ratio and sales forecast; respond to changes in sales trend and sales forecast
  • Conduct supply chain risk assessment for lead-time, flexibility, and cost to meet schedule and implement supplier flexibility strategies, as necessary
  • Other projects and tasks may be assigned based on business needs
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy, if needed
  • Monitor and report on important changes in component usage, or supplier issues
  • Conduct annual/monthly forecast analysis
  • Manage ad hoc projects such as a BioBottle transition
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Analyze historical demand, promotional demand, internal/external trends related to component impacts
  • Partner with Supply & Demand planning to ensure that the statistical forecasting solution effectively addresses needs for most efficient purchases
  • Support and execute on delivery of  purchase projections / demand forecasts to suppliers.
  • Provide actionable reporting, KPI updates and metric data, including forecast accuracy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to present quantitative data in an easy-to-understand manner that balances both department analytics as well as business implications
  • Ability to support continuous improvement or capability development work streams including scope definition, analysis, recommendations, and implementationProven effective communication skills, with ability to work across and present to multiple levels and different organizational functions
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with packaged MRP Software is desired, specific emphasis on SAP MRP
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience leading direct reports and strong influencing skills to work with vendors, peers and partners

 

Equipment Knowledge: 

  • Strong computer skills, proficient with Google Office Suite and multiple communication and project management applications
  • Intermediate to Advanced level proficiency in Excel

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of experience, or relevant experience, preferably in an e-commerce environment. 

Solid understanding of MRP 


Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, forecasting, supply chain or related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience required.

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work.  The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.  iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.

Hired applicant may be awarded Restrict Stock Units and receive annual bonuses pursuant to eligibility and performance criteria defined in the respective plan documents and policies.

$70,000—$126,382 USD
