Job Description

Product Development Tools Support Engineer

Primary responsibilities - Source Code Management (SCM) tool administration & support for GitHub (primarily) & GitLab development platforms

• Perform application administration duties for enterprise SCM systems (primarily GitHub and GitLab development platforms).
• Work with users to diagnose and resolve development environment and application issues.
• Work with product teams to adopt or migrate to the SCM platform.
• Work with DevOps engineers to enable platform features and establish CI/CD workflows.
• Work with Vendor to resolve functionality issues with the platform.
• Implement and manage integrations between the SCM platform and other ALM related tools.
• Ensure security configuration standards are implemented and maintained.
• Ensure access controls are implemented and enforced.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent/ relevant work experience
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with Source Code Management concepts and git distributed version control system
• Experience in providing technical support to users
• Experience with GitHub and/or GitLab
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools
• Knowledge of Software Development Processes and Methodologies
• Knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, and Continuous Integration concepts
• Experience with Cloud-based development environments
• Experience with API programming with a scripting language (eg. Python) to work with JSON or related generated data
• Familiarity with Prometheus monitoring and Grafana visualization dashboards a plus
• Linux server admin/user experience
