Position Description
We are looking for exceptional Technical Writer to join our rapidly growing movement for Digital Equality. Our clients include the best-known global brands, and they rely on us to help ensure that all digital experiences they offer are accessible to everyone. They trust Deque to engineer, with them, the most efficient route to sustained digital accessibility. While Deque’s expertise in strategy, process, and technology is deep and diverse, for our clients, all of that is personified in their Deque Technical Writer.
Experience : 7-12 years
Roles and Responsibilities:
 

• Writing B2B and B2C content for happening technologies - Web application.
• Strategize, research and execute high level content
• Tasks include generating engaging blog posts, spec docs, web pages, case studies, online marketing material, white papers, video scripts, press releases, etc with strong knowledge of writing for different client personas.
• Collaborating with developers and designers and other technical heads of the company to generate technically sound content which has a universal reach .
• Writing engaging content from the readers point of view
• Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers
• Work with technical staff to make features, and instructions easier to use
• Incorporate animation, graphs, illustrations, or photographs to increase users’ understanding of the material
• Taking ownership of the entire user interaction and product documentation.

Skills and Experience:

• Can write on highly technical topics using simple, everyday language.
• Ability to edit for grammatical errors and areas of improvement in a given piece or write-up
• Thorough understanding of technical writing standards, processes, and their application.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with software developers, testers, support engineers, and doc team members.
• Good understanding of the SDLC process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Agile development process
• Ability to learn and understand technical products
• Prior A11y experience would be a plus
