The Colleague Services and Digital Capabilities (CSDC) organization at American Express plays a critical role in in providing the best-in-class services, capabilities, data and insights that enable a great colleague experience. The organization builds and evolves essential foundational and operational products and services to enable Colleague Experience Group (CEG) and the business. The CSDC organization manages the ecosystem of CEG platforms, applications, third party partners, colleague insights and reporting, and colleague-related risk, compliance and governance.

How will you make an impact in this role?

As part of CSDC, the Digital Strategy and Capabilities (DSC) team leads in the design and prioritization of American Express colleague products. Product Operations/Enablement within DSC liaises with Business Owners/stakeholders and Product Owners to prioritize features for our products, articulate and deliver requirements, assist with customer testing and help evolve the product backlog. This role will have a focus in supporting the American Express' goal to Deliver a Great Colleague Experience through our digital products. We are looking for colleagues with project management experience, a passion for improvement, a clear focus on the colleague experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide clarity and direction across teams.

Primary responsibilities
  • Partner with various stakeholders to understand their strategy and roadmap to translate those goals into prioritized requirements/user stories and acceptance criteria for various Colleague Experience products
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and product owners to actively influence product backlogs of features and capabilities across several CEG products using data-driven decisions that demonstrate value delivered
  • Manage projects across various stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of product enhancements
  • Technically minded & resourceful - with an appreciation for rolling up your sleeves and getting things done
  • Willingness to learn and support agile practices and ceremonies to reinforce agile development and incremental delivery

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of project management experience and ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives and workstreams simultaneously
  • Comfort with ambiguity, navigating competing priorities and ability to translate unstructured information to a structured, actionable plan
  • Detail oriented, able to identify key questions, make product decisions and assess how pieces of the puzzle interact and affect the overall project
  • Recognize issues quickly and determine how to get a resolution through creative and effective problem solving
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity and rapid change
  • Determination to get to the best outcome for our customers - our American Express colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills across distributed and global teams with ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Experience with agile product development methodologies and tools (JIRA, Rally, Confluence, Airtable, etc.) a plus, but not required

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
