The Precision Amplifier Group (PAG) is seeking a Product Engineer to work as part of a project team comprised of members from disciplines such as marketing, design, test, assembly, quality, wafer foundry, and application engineering to bring a product concept to a released mass production solution.

Essential Responsibilities:

Interface as a central resource with the project manager, design, test, applications, marketing, software, reliability, manufacturing, and failure analysis teams as the product(s) move from design to completion, release, and high-volume production

  • Ability to take ownership in multiple phases of new product development, release activities, and post release sustaining
  • Navigate design databases for products to develop test solutions as well as make recommendations on testability, manufacturability, qualification readiness, and field quality
  • Support Reliability engineering through recommendation on qualification preparations as well as drawing conclusions from reliability test data
  • Support Failure Analysis engineering through validation and determination of the root cause of a device failure
  • Works with the probe and package test development engineer(s) on final test, correlation, characterization, limit setting, yield analysis, release to manufacturing, and post release cost sustaining and reduction efforts
  • Direct interaction with marketing and applications engineers to resolve product issues or to provide performance data
  • Must be able to format, analyze, and reach valid conclusions from data and be able to present process/product improvement recommendations to the product team as required. Document and present findings, for development, sustaining, and customer product support as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent relevant experience
  • Circuits knowledge that includes one or more of the following: analog circuits, RF circuits, Power Management circuits, signals and systems, ADCs, DACs, optical, high speed serial interfaces, microcontrollers, DSPs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to solve complex problems through design of appropriate experiments and analysis of complex data
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills toward capture of aggressive schedule demands
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong team worker within multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments
  • Capable of clear, accurate and timely communication both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Analog/Digital circuit design and test techniques
  • Knowledge of IC fabrication (BIPOLAR and CMOS), process technology and device physics
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical process control
