Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may assist with and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are charged with at TE.
The Product Engineer will design, engineer, and modify products from information provided by marketing personnel, customers, development engineers, or other personnel. This position works closely with other engineering disciplines to provide solutions for our customers. Converts input into a form that can be presented to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Position designs new and modifies existing industrial cable assembly products.
- Product Design and Costing for cable assemblies to include Material Selection, Electrical Design, Mechanical Design, and Safety Agency Requirements.
- Development of Bill of Material, routing, and manufacturing standards.
- Development of documentation for customer specifying design details.
- Coordinates with Development Engineer and Manufacturing Engineering to document design.
- In order to meet customer specification and delivery, employee must work in accordance with company established procedures and policies.
- Working with UL to qualify new cable designs to specified requirements/approvals.
What your background should look like:
Qualifications:
- BSEE Engineering degree required; MSEE preferred.
- Computer software experience required; CAD experience desirable.
- Knowledgeable in engineering software.
- Experience developing cable assemblies for industrial applications.
- Able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and product specifications.
- Able to communicate well on technical issues with in-house staff.
- Strong written and verbal Communication Skills required; Good presentation skills.

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $64,720k - $97,080k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
