Job Description
The Product Engineer II will play a key role in building and evolving the platform that powers integrations with domain providers helping make onboarding more consistent scalable and easier to extend over time. You will own meaningful features and workflows end-to-end contributing to systems that directly support new domain launches and partner integrations. In this role you will work closely with Product Operations Compliance and Engineering to translate requirements into technical solutions contribute to system design and help shape how this platform continues to evolve. You'll be trusted to make sound technical decisions within your area while also growing your influence across the team. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys owning their work collaborating across functions and continuing to build toward senior-level impact.
This role reports to the Manager Product Engineering.
What You'll Do
- Own implementation of features and workflows related to domain provider integrations from requirements through deployment and iteration
- Translate product and operational requirements into technical designs and execution plans
- Contribute to integrations with domain providers including gTLDs and ccTLDs across provisioning transfers renewals and pricing
- Partner with Product Operations and Compliance to shape feasible solutions and clarify requirements
- Contribute to system design and help drive technical decisions within your area
- Identify and address technical risks edge cases and performance considerations
- Improve and maintain existing domain provider integrations to increase reliability and maintainability
- Contribute to shared patterns tooling and automation that reduce manual effort over time
- Participate actively in code reviews and help uphold engineering standards across the team
- Monitor post-launch behavior and contribute to iteration and improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems workflows and developer experience
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are / What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working with APIs integrations or platform-oriented systems
- Professional experience with modern PHP frameworks particularly Laravel is preferred
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js is a plus
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including building scalable reliable and maintainable systems
- Demonstrated ownership of features or workflows delivered to production
- Experience contributing to system design and making sound technical decisions
- Comfortable navigating some ambiguity and helping shape solutions with cross-functional partners
- Product-minded able to balance customer impact business goals and technical tradeoffs
- Strong collaborator who communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrates adaptability humility and a strong sense of partnership
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization as needed
- Reliable transportation to the workplace
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Salary Range
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $107000 - $139000 (flexibility based on experience) plus benefits as described below. In addition the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan. Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidate's qualifications internal employee equity considerations and location. We will not ask for information about a candidate's current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer of employment.
US team members (and their spouses domestic partners and/or dependent children) are covered by generously subsidized medical dental and vision insurance which includes company contributions to a Health Savings Accounts. Team members are also covered by company-paid life and disability insurance and have the option of participating in employee-paid supplemental life accidental death and dismemberment critical illness and accident insurance. In addition team members can enroll in the company's 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match. You receive 15 days of paid vacation yearly increasing to 20 days after one year. Additionally you get 5 days of paid sick leave 13 paid holidays and 20 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents 12 weeks for others. Also there's an opportunity for tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses.
