This position is responsible for....
The Product Engineer III (Senior) is responsible for designing and developing a product or product family. Examples of typical tasks include concept development, requirements generation, prototype fabrication, assembly and component design, and generation of engineering documentation. S/he tests finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary. S/he uses a wide degree of creativity and latitude to accomplish varied and complicated tasks relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. S/he may act as a lead designer with minimal supervision.

Your day will be very busy... you will:
- Performs the design, development, implementation, and analysis of systems, products, assemblies and components that meet specified requirements.
- Acts as a lead or assists project leaders in the definition, planning, and requirements generation of new or updated products.
- Delivers on-time, on-quality, and on-budget project tasks.
- Fabricates product or component prototypes using industry manufacturing methods.
- Performs engineering qualification, verification, and validation testing for new and updated components and assemblies.
- Complies with all SOP and regulatory requirements pertaining to the development of medical device hardware (per FDA 21 CFR part 820 and ISO 13485).
- Utilizes CAD to create and modify 3D components and assemblies and their associated drawings per industry standards (ANSI Y14.5).
- Develops and maintains product and/or process documentation.
- Supports operations and quality teams on updates to existing products and/or processes.
- Assists with outside manufacturer selection, evaluation, and communication. Provides support in the establishment and maintenance of suppliers.
What your background will be:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Work experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field to include:
- Read and generate Engineer drawings per ANSI Y14.5.
- SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Use (or direct the use of) prototype shop tools and machinery to produce and test prototype parts. Knowledge of the machine safety requirements. Tools and machinery include but are not limited to sewing machine, riveter, 3D printer, welder, and electromechanical machinery
