Product Illustration Calculation Analyst (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Fully Remote)

Where you'll work:
Our hybrid workplace model offers the freedom to work fully remote or occasionally in one of our offices. This is a remote position with a hybrid option for candidates based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

How you'll contribute:
As a Product Illustration Calculation Analyst, you'll be responsible for illustration calculation testing of Individual Life Products using product business requirements and calculation testing tools to ensure that all product-related information and calculations on the illustration systems are accurate. Work independently and collaborate effectively within a high-performing team of qualified individuals; and produce quality results. This role is critical to the Brighthouse vision of delivering high-quality products to the marketplace that add value to our customers' lives.

In this role, you'll get to:• Lead in the design, implementation, and launch phases of new life product illustration initiatives• Collaborate with all partner areas throughout the product illustration development process• Represent Life Product Illustration Calculation Test Team in key meetings. Develop materials to provide insight on key initiatives, as well as collect feedback and input on new features and products for Illustrations• Support team in developing test plans, test matrices, and test cases based upon Product and Tax Requirements for calculation testing, preparing expected results using actuarial tools, and debugging value mismatches between the system and test tools• Support debugging of value mismatches between the illustration and the testing tool, including root cause analysis• Support user interface, output and integrations test planning based on requirement changes and system implementation• Provide support to IT, Vendors and Test Tool Developer with interpretation of Product and Tax Requirements; work with product managers and tax control specialists to resolve open questions• Manage critical relationships with IT, consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership• Additional duties as assigned

We're looking for people who have: • A Bachelor's degree (preferred) in mathematics, business finance, or related field• Some knowledge of life insurance products preferred• Strong technical skills; problem-solving and analytical abilities; and ability to learn new technologies• The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills• 1 to 2 + years' work experience in a corporate environment preferred• 1 to 2 + years' experience in MS Excel including building/interpreting complex mathematical formulas• 6 + months experience working independently with some supervision preferred• Experience in eliciting requirements and testing preferred
