Brady offers a hybrid work option that allows for both personal flexibility and in person collaboration to deliver the greatest outcomes for our people and customers. This option is a mix of in the office and one or two offsite days which are pre-determined based on role and function.
Position Summary:
The Product Information Manager will provide a strong foundation for better management of the Product Information Management system, enriched product data, and processes within Brady's Product Information Management (PIM) system to support global marketing and sales initiatives. The role is responsible for managing strategic initiatives across regional businesses, working with various stakeholders, as well as managing a small team of product content data analysts. The right candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including Product Managers, Channel Managers - Web, Distribution and Print, Trade and Regulatory, Compliance, SAP Master Data teams, Software Engineering, and the Global IT organization. There will be a focus on data quality, process improvement, and content publication. This individual will also be a part of Brady's Product Master Data Management Steering Council and provide direction on the long-term strategic roadmap for the tools and processes we need as a company to be effective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partners with IT Product Owner and Program Manager to guide direction on the product roadmap and future features
- Articulates and maximizes PIM value proposition and vision to Brady global stakeholders
- Owns general direction of the Product Information Management roadmap as it relates to Brady global businesses
- Liaison between the business, IT, and Master Data teams representing the business needs and voice of the customer
- Provides leadership and drives execution on key data programs including product rationalization/simplification, New Product Launch improvements, data quality KPIs, and data migration initiatives
- Manages small project work as well as strategic projects for PIM
- Managing a team of individuals to drive data quality and content for online and offline consumption
- Creates user stories for IT development and support effort
- Continually drives process improvement
- Prioritizes new product features and functionality
- Prioritizes defect and support tickets when appropriate
- Drives quality measures, KPIs and goals for the team
- Manages UAT efforts
Required Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
- A. / B.S. in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 years of managing a Product Information Management (PIM) system
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities and coordinating activities across teams
- Demonstrated experience leading and influencing individuals and teams without formal organizational control
- Experience writing or editing content
- Ability to communicate well to both a non-technical business audience and a technical IT audience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
- Experience with large content files or Product Information Management system, specifically STEP from Stibo systems
- Experience supervising or leading a team of master data and content specialists
- Experience working with e-commerce websites and teams
