ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Product Information Specialist position is responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness for all data requirements related to MISUMIĀ USA’s product offerings, from onboarding of new items to on-going maintenance of data and web pages. This role owns supplier relationships from a data perspective, operates cross-functionally with internal customers and develops online merchandising content. We offer a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and two WFH. Our office is located in the beautiful Schaumburg Corporate Center. You will support your team through the following responsibilities:
Ā 

  • MaintainĀ a high standard of complete and accurate product specifications and attributes.
  • Initiate and lead product information processes for a broad set of internal customers including Purchasing/Supply Chain, Business Development, and Marketing.
  • Establish relationships with product managers, engineers, and vendor contacts for acquisition of required product information.
  • Coordinate all activities related to new item onboarding, SKU development, and all maintenance aspects of product information.
  • Educate suppliers on MISUMIĀ USA’s requirements for entry of new items into or system, including image accuracy and proper image formats.
  • Review and clean/correct product data, including images, dimensions, descriptions, attributes, CAD diagrams, and fitment/application data.
  • Ensure product and release information is presented and merchandised in a consistent manner, irrespective of its source.
  • Research and analyze multiple sources to determine correct operational data values and attributes.
  • Ensure nightly/periodic data feeds complete as intended. Work with I.T. to troubleshoot and correct any errors.
  • Support improvements of product onboarding processes and data optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure data synchronization across multiple systems and platforms.
  • ParticipateĀ in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
  • Create online merchandising pages for MISUMIĀ USA’s website.
  • Normalize product hierarchy data to ensure proper organization of item categorization.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management or Business preferred.
  • Excellent data entry skills and computer prowess.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative, shared work environment.
  • Experience working with large data sets in Microsoft Excel.
  • Some knowledge of CAD and web design preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be a great team player, problem solver and have strong written and communication skills.
