Job Description
Lead an experienced team of engineers and problem solvers working to fight cancer through designing, implementing, testing, and deploying solutions for Accuray's premier radiation therapy systems.

Job Description
Lead an experienced team of engineers and problem solvers working to fight cancer through designing, implementing, testing, and deploying solutions for Accuray's premier radiation therapy systems.
- Own the effectiveness of their organization and how their department contributes to the organization's effectiveness.
- Determining/monitoring training and development plans, performance/personnel management of members.
- Communicates key information to team from business updates on timely basis.
- Builds capacity among team by identifying skill gaps, making, and executing plans to address them.
- Manages team performance through annual performance reviews, as well as sharing observations and suggestions for greater effectiveness on individual and team basis throughout the year.
- Coaches, mentors, and develops engineers to enhance their professional growth.
- Determines resource allocations and deploys accordingly. Adjusts resources as needed and communicates changes. Process and Compliance.
- Ensures compliance with Accuray processes under a regulated environment
- Identifies needs for process improvement and development in team space and drives necessary changes in SOPs and Wis.
- Reviews, recommends, and implements changes in procedures consistent with company policies and objectives.
- During development, delegates responsibility to ensure requirements meet the needs, and that the final design meets the approved requirements, prior to system integration.
- Considers cross-functional inputs for subsystem level requirements and architecture designs changes.
- Solicit and provide meaningful feedback with the team to grow strengths and capabilities.
- Manage budgetary needs and participate in the budget process.
- Participates in the negotiation of scope and system level requirements.
- Accountable for requirements/design/implementation/testing at subsystem level and below.
- Experienced in gathering requirements and developing server specifications
- Experienced in compute and storage server architecture and design for large scale applications.
- Maintains knowledge of market, state-of-the-art, research, and emerging technologies in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Agile and other methodologies.
- Experience engineering products in a regulated industry.
- Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (MS Exchange, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring
- Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience managing a team of engineers with at least 2 years of demonstrated success.
- Excellent communicator on both a technical level with the engineers and a project level with stakeholders and executives
- Demonstrated understanding of development processes and an interest in driving successful projects through process improvement,
- Willingness to perform a broad range of tasks in order to ensure the success of the engineering team.
- Comfort working alongside several remote teams around the world to solve issues and deliver value to our products,
- Ability to mentor Junior Engineers, as well as to collaborate with all stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
