Job Description Summary

This position will work with the Customer Operations, Product Management, Product Marketing teams, as well as other externally facing groups, to coordinate the launch of new products and features as effectively as possible through exceptional interdepartmental coordination. The Product Launch Coordinator will ensure all relevant departments and partners are optimally enabled to succeed in the adoption and support of new releases.

Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of the entire product development life cycle: testing new products and features, how product/feature validation projects are executed and managed, technical documentation process/expectations, and evaluation of product marketing materials to ensure partner-facing roles are optimally positioned for product launches.
  • Partner with Beta team to determine support burden potential of new products and features, share assessments with Product Management and CORE management to finalize support strategy, and collaborate with CORE stakeholders to execute on that strategy
  • Coordinate resource development for enabling internal teams and partner-facing roles to optimally handle product launches in their respective roles. Ensure all partner-facing and internal teams understand and have access to the resources each role utilizes
  • Attending validation test meetings during beta as appropriate to prepare for post-beta launch preparation
  • Participate and, when appropriate, lead product launch meetings from post-beta through product general availability and ensure action items from meetings are delivered on schedule
  • Manage product release pipeline, track product briefs, identify and communicate bandwidth concerns or potential blockers, and ensure that partner-facing and internal teams are consistently informed of relevant product releases regardless of product brief existence
  • Assisting Product Support, Training, Systems, and other field-facing CORE teams with delivering training content for post-beta/production releases
  • Analyzing and working to improve launch processes by gathering feedback from internal stakeholders and converting feedback into incremental process improvements
  • Working closely with the Beta Program Manager and other relevant internal stakeholders to identify and act on areas of opportunity in validation project and product launch improvement
  • Assist Product Management in tracking KPIs that determine product transition from limited release to general availability

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Alarm.com ecosystem, Product Operations, Beta Program operations, product development lifecycle, Agile software development required.
  • Experience with beta projects (participant or owner)
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PMI-ACP, etc.), product marketing certification (e.g. Pragmatic Institute - Launch) preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong technical aptitude and computer skills
  • Ability to operate independently and with autonomy, within a team environment
  • Is able to contribute valuable ideas or recommendations on overall improvements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills
