What is awesome about this role:

Chipper is looking for a product leader, with a growth mindset, to continue building the smartest, most intuitive student loan platform and help us scale from 130k+ members to our first million. You will work directly with the CEO and Director of Engineering to develop the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the company.

You will be responsible for improving our member experience from linking loans to making their final payment. You'll drive product-led growth initiatives by translating business goals into the shared product vision and strategy.

You'll make decisions based on detailed data as well as qualitative feedback from users and the growth and member success teams. Everything you do can have an immediate impact on the financial lives of thousands of existing and new users.

  • You'll own features and all product updates from end-to-end, including writing product specs, driving cross-functional execution, making thoughtful product decisions along the way, and sharing insights and results throughout the company.
  • You'll drive execution against our plan in collaboration with engineering, design and growth peers: making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication.
  • You prioritize the user experience above all else
  • You'll execute at a fast pace with a focus on user experience, impact, and learning
  • Define and analyze key metrics and clearly communicate data-driven insights to build alignment across teams and guide the decision-making process.
  • Use A/B testing, analytics, and usability studies to understand customer behavior and develop strategies to reduce friction throughout the customer journey, especially onboarding and new feature adoption

Requirements

  • Experience in technology companies (big plus if consumer) with 3+ years as a PM or product lead
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders
  • Impeccable follow-through. You say what you'll do, and do what you say. You hold your team to this standard. You don't let details slip.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and dynamic startup environment
  • Comfortable collaborating with a distributed team
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Analytically driven, with experience developing and executing A/B tests to learn, iterate and drive decisions
  • Proficiency with rapid hypothesis-driven experimentation and analysis
  • Curious and empathetic with a deep understanding of customer needs and motivations.
  • Master of communication, written & verbal - comfortable with a diverse group of people, from engineers to designers and marketers.
  • Collaborative approach to success, able to build trust across the organization.
  • Execution focus - do what it takes to keep the team moving in the right direction.
  • Flexible, can deal with change, and ambiguity doesn't faze you.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong UX and design sense

Benefits

Compensation will be a mix of salary and stock options. It's based on your location and will be highly competitive compared to similar-stage companies.
