Role Summary 

- We are seeking a dynamic and strategic product leader to shape the vision and execute the product development for la Plateforme, a one-stop developer platform for deploying, customizing, and monitoring generative AI models.

-La Plateforme is a product directed toward developers, who use our services through APIs and rely on them to go fast from an AI application idea to production. 

- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technical and business aspects of generative AI and a strong empathy for developers and enterprises.

-They will need to have a deep knowledge of how developers work and adopt solutions and how enterprise decision-makers agree to use a new technology tool.

-They should deeply understand infrastructure matters (La Plateforme is not dissimilar from a public cloud business) and machine learning operations (a part of it corresponds to an MLOps product).

-They should have had significant exposure to generative AI and understand how it’s reshaping the way we build software.

-Product leader at Mistral must be customer-oriented and able to become the customers' voice within engineering teams.

-They work with product marketing to refine our GTM strategy and lead engineers by influence (instead of hierarchy). This is a fast-paced environment with highly qualified engineers who can operate autonomously. Engineers work with product managers to prioritize features that drive adoption and customer satisfaction.

-We provide a high level of agency to product and engineering teams that decide what to ship following the broader product vision.

Key Responsibilities 

-Product Vision and Strategy: Contribute to the overall product vision for Mistral lines of product. Shape la Plateforme roadmap and drives its priorization and executionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align the product strategy with business objectives.

-Customer and Market Understanding: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive gaps. Inspect product data to understand usage patterns and needsEngage with customers to gather feedback and validate product features. This include Enterprise customers being sold to (with C-level executive as decision makers), and developers adopting the platform organically

-Product Development: Work closely with engineering, data science, and design teams to define, prioritize, and build product features. Ensure the platform's technical architecture supports scalability, reliability, and security for our customers.

-Developer product management: Oversee the design, documentation, and versioning of APIs. Ensure backward compatibility and smooth migration paths for API updates.

-Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute go-to-market plans. Define pricing strategies and packaging for API products.

-Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success. Continuously monitor and optimize product performance based on data-driven insights.

-Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and customers. Effectively communicate product updates, launches, and roadmaps to various stakeholders

Qualifications & profile 

-Proven experience (10+ years) in product managementBackground in LLM technologies, API platforms, or related fields.

-Strong experience in Strong understanding of LLM technologies, NLP, and machine learning concepts.

-Familiarity with API design principles, and microservices architecture.

-Empathy for developers and understanding of the way they adopt technology

-Understanding of product-led growth and approaches to accelerate it

-Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

-Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams - highly collaborative Strategic mind with a strong business acumen Low egoHigh autonomy
