PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Specialist is accountable for the R&D PLM SAP software Recipe Management System and as such provides expertise in overall PLM function: Entering and owning the data for Formula Recipes, FG (Finished Goods) Recipes, Operational Validation Specifications, ad hoc reports, MFG specifications, and overall PLM system navigation and manipulation as well as intimate knowledge of the STM work flows and STM process. The PLM Specialist provides guidance, solutions, and support to the R&D developer and the Natural Work Team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
Natural Work Team member, embedded into each product category, representing the SAP PLM system requirements in the STM (speed to market) process:
- Provide PLM support and knowledge of STM/ PLM interaction to the cross functional team in order to quickly achieve the STM commercialization process; brings awareness of roadblocks:
- Answers PLM questions for R&D and NWT
- Ability to effectively communicate product/plant data to NWT members as well as the implications on the project/process
- Advises NWT on PLM workflows
- Coordination with cross functional team members to aid in the completion of the overall STM or O&M project ensuring due diligence of the required business process;
- Facilitate PLM FG recipe development for R&D developers or may be assigned as the R&D team member on non R&D development PLM project work:
- Gathering required information and data
- Creating FG and formula recipes for plant trials and commercialization;
- Launching and managing STM PLM work flows for R&D developers,
- Creating Operational Validation Specs and Plant Trial Requests,
- Creating and Launching empirical MFG specifications
- Obtaining RME's for R&D and Procurement through the RME Admin
- Ability to challenge data to catch discrepancies and drive accuracy
- Owning the accuracy and consistency of R&D related Finished Good (FG) Recipe data
- Provide PLM data maintenance on existing PLM FG and formula recipes for non STM projects
- In depth knowledgeable of PLM Process regarding:
- FG Recipe Specific calculations in PLM, including complex calculations to account for component products and bake loss associated with many products
- Setting up Works In Process in PLM
- Setting up Interplant FG codes in both PLM and SAP.
- Process of setting up Contract Manufacturing P/C's.
- Authorization for Edit Access for PLM Workflow Monitor
- Ability to move a work flow though the work flow process
- Ability to cancel work flows
- In depth knowledge of Optiva Historical Reports; supports R&D in searching for Optiva data
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Required• High School diploma with 5+ years of data entry experience• Demonstrated PC skills (Word, Excel, O365 etc)• Demonstrated organizational skills• Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills• Ability to resolve problems independently with demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills• Demonstrated commitment to accuracy - demonstrated ability and inclination to challenge data integrity• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work
Preferred• High level of proficiency in SAP PLM, Microsoft Office tools including Word, Power Point, Excel• Expertise of the RPC Speed to Market business process, including processing PLM work flows, as well as comprehension of their specific R&D category product line, in process projects and a working knowledge of the production facilities manufacturing those product lines
