Product Line Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Provide the leadership for the product line. Manage the introduction of new product lines and the Product Life Cycles of current and future products to ensure profitable market share growth. Develop a product strategy that addresses product positioning, product line features and pricing, target segments, and time lines for commercialization's, as well as product line rationalization.

As Product Line Manager you will lead the strategic and commercial efforts of existing and coming data driven products in NOV Rig Technologies.

We are looking for a good mix of market, commercial and technical competence as well as great management and team building skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand all aspects of product line, including active innovation requests, product Research and Development projects, Service Quality issues, pricing, inventory and sales and overall financial performance.
• Establish and maintain a product vision and strategy that addresses the current market environment.
• Facilitate the development and the successful commercialization of products. The PLM identifies and assists in new product development, manages priorities and the development time line with engineering/research, and reviews results.
• Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
• Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
• Develop and implement a go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
• Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for Rig Technologies connected products globally.
• Keep overview of market, competitors, and NOV positioning
• Development and communicate product strategies
• Lead commercial work related to new product development
• Define product sales models and pricing
• Support product marketing and sales
• Provide product forecasts for sales and delivery planning

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree (MSc/BSc) or work experience bringing equivalent skillset.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years work experience in tech savvy industry.
• Required - software and/or Cloud infrastructure, data management work experience.
• Position is onsite located for 10353 Richmond Ave., Houston TX 77042.
