JOB SUMMARY:

Provide the leadership for the product line. Manage the introduction of new product lines and the Product Life Cycles of current and future products to ensure profitable market share growth. Develop a product strategy that addresses product positioning, product line features and pricing, target segments, and timelines for commercialization, as well as product line rationalization. Must have a working knowledge of Pressure Control Equipment (eg. BOP's and Well Control Systems for land and offshore).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand all aspects of the product line, including active innovation requests, product Research, and Development projects, Service Quality issues, pricing, inventory and sales, and overall financial performance.
  • Establish and maintain a product vision and strategy that addresses the current market environment.
  • Facilitate the development and the successful commercialization of products. The PLM identifies and assists in new product development, manages priorities and the development timeline with engineering/research, and reviews results.
  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers.
  • Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contracts, and positioning.
  • Develop and implement a go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute it.
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Engineering preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of Product Line and/or Pressure Control Equipment experience required
  • Team player, good work ethic, positive attitude
