Position Overview:

The Product Line Manager role manages a distinct portion of the business, which includes: managing product portfolio, capacity management, managing product development pipeline, driving strategic initiatives and inventory management. The primary responsibilities are to maximizing profitability (P&L ownership), optimizing assets and delivering top line growth. The Product Line Manager will report to the General Manager - US Liquids and is based out of Chesterfield, Missouri.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for Product Line Management of implementing and executing the go-to-market strategy
  • Coordinate daily with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Trading, Research & Development and Quality Assurance to ensure alignment on business priorities
  • Monitor "free to sell" capacity to determine which opportunities to pursue and develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize asset utilization
  • Drive strategic initiatives forward from inception to implementation (identify opportunities to create value, determine feasibility, seek approvals and see through to implementation)
  • Conduct product/market analysis (competitive, pricing, profitability) to identify opportunities and address shortfalls
  • Project Management: Plan, monitor and track critical activity paths for strategic initiatives
  • New Product Pipeline Management: Prioritize projects and manage cross-functional teams to synchronize efforts to ensure clearly defined goals, timelines, and deliverables with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the assets (from commercial standpoint) to ensure that production and industrial cost targets are met
  • Track and manage aging inventories to avoid obsolescence, optimize working capital and identify opportunities to rationalize SKUs

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Typically Bachelor's degree with 6 - 10 years of commercial experience in Ag/Food Industry or related experience, or equivalent combo of education and experience level.
  • Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge (known as reference) of related disciplines.
