About our Team
This role falls under Elsevier's Nursing and Health Education division. Our team is responsible for developing innovative digital solutions used by colleges and universities across the US and Canada. Our content, analytics, and applications improve learning outcomes and practice readiness for future health professionals.
About the Role
As a product management intern, you will work with a team of product managers and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders in a customer oriented, data-driven, and agile based product management culture. You will be part of a group that is passionate about improving outcomes for educators and students, delivering a connected and delightful user experience, and making products that are intuitive to implement and support.
This internship is part of the Rising TIDE program. Elsevier created its Rising TIDE (Tomorrow, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) internship program to foster inclusion and diversity, provide individuals with work experience in Corporate, and develop a pipeline of talent for entry level positions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in customer discovery activities with the product team and capture insights
- Participate with clear direction in go to market launch plans and activities.
- Participate in select customer events in partnership with the product team.
- Develop an understanding of how the product is marketed to customers and document findings.
- Support information distribution to sales and marketing
- Work with team to utilize the understanding of customer insights into development of product components.
Requirements
- Keen interest in innovative metrics and customer insights
- Analytical and writing skills with the ability to translate data into a comprehensive story
- Ability to build cross functional relationships
- Understanding of cultural differences with the ability to work effectively with teams across the globe
- Demonstrates effective conversational skills, including active listening and questioning
- Critical thinking and leadership skills
- Experience with Office applications including Word and Excel, or the equivalent
- Given the current climate, this role will be remote
