Product Management Specialist

Position Summary: 

The Product Management Specialist TCR (Taco Cranston) partners with Product Managers to support the product lifecycle management and product portfolio analysis process.  They work with cross-functional technical, sales, customer service and engineering staff to update product specifications, price sheets, or selection software for accuracy related to the current product portfolio.  This role has a focus on researching and identifying issues related to the products and making process and reporting improvement recommendations to the Product Management team.

Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyzes market data and identifies industry and competitor trends and opportunities to help drive the company's product requirements, life cycle analysis, marketing investment, and product strategy
• Develops product-focused knowledge of market size, pricing, and competitive positioning/share and maintains competitor tracking information
• Aids team leaders with the product development process and with managing cross-functional development tasks
• Supports the product management team in the margin and financial contribution tracking for the products offered across distribution channels
• Works with the global sales team to identify market opportunities and support sales efforts
• Collaborates with the marketing team to create, enhance, or update product support materials and sales literature
• Supports the warranty return process, including customer outreach and responses on product evaluations
• Supports development of product PowerPoint presentations
• Responds to product inquiries from external and internal stakeholders, including sales representatives, wholesalers, and OEM business partners
• Conducts competitive research and analysis supporting business development efforts and generates analytical reports and data content to help position product strategies effectively in the marketplace
• Attends key industry trade shows / conferences to provide required product support, training, value proposition delivery
• Perform other related duties as required or directed

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
• 1+ years of experience in product management, product development or similar marketing role, preferably in HVAC or the plumbing industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent communication, organizational and technical skills
• Ability to analyze data and present in a succinct manner
• Travel up to 15% of time to customers, sales reps, trade shows or product job sites

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience with Epicor ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), PowerBI, PDTrak and JIRA

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology.  Verbal and auditory capability are required.  Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent.  Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position may work from home up to 2X/week if performance is in good standing.
