Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team. The Product Manager listens to the market, prospects, and customers to understand market needs, identifies what to develop to meet those needs and business objectives, articulates what success looks like for the product, and rallies a cross-functional team to turn that vision into a reality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather product input from the market, prospects, clients, and internal voices by conducting client and prospect interviews annually
  • Captures and shares product knowledge in systems that build institutional knowledge and enable internal self-service
  • Understands, respects, and navigates complexities and functional dependencies of our business becoming a valuable partner
  • Builds and maintains a deep understanding of customers and users
  • Uses product, market, and other relevant data to inform decisions, resulting in products that consistently perform well in the marketplace
  • Incorporates diverse perspective to define solutions that are recognized as innovative and market leading
  • Communicates across multiple channels to build awareness of excitement for product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Fulfills role of Agile product owner for one or more scrum teams by maintaining a well-groomed backlog of epics and user stories that deliver on strategic and product initiatives
  • Builds strong relationships through emotional intelligence, integrity, and willingness to have difficult conversations when necessary
  • Manages expectations of customers, colleagues, stakeholders and executives through clear communication, persuasive use of data, and skillful negotiation resulting in alignment and understanding
  • Focuses on continuous process and product improvement that inspires others to learn and grow


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years of product management experience in technology company; or 10 years of experience supporting a product in an operational or support role
  • Supply chain industry expertise preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Embraces change with adaptability, escalates when appropriate and necessary
  • Earns trust by acting with honesty and integrity
  • Demonstrates tenacity
  • Manages customer expectations well and uses data persuasively
